aletheia

Aletheia - meaning "truth" in Greek - will address an essential question: How do we read the Bible?

We'll study each "genre" of Biblical books (historical narratives, prophets, poetry, epistles, etc.) and do an intensive reading of a representative example of each. We'll also study basic Christian doctrines and discipleship/lifestyle issues, using the Word as our basis.

Along with study of the Bible, the Aletheia class will read and discuss the texts How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth and How to Read the Bible Book by Book, both by Gordon D. Fee and Douglas Stuart.

Everyone from new believers to lifelong learners can benefit. Classes for 2006-2007 are finished.  However, classes for the 2007-2008 year will start again in the Fall.  Email Danny Pierce at dannypierce@gmail.com if you would like more information on how to join this class starting in the Fall.
